Ronald "Ron" Burgundy is a fictional character portrayed by Will Ferrell, most notably in the 2004 comedy film *Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy*.
Burgundy is a charismatic but incredibly chauvinistic and often dimwitted news anchor for KVWN Channel 4 Evening News in San Diego during the 1970s. He is known for his signature mustache, slicked-back hair, and love of scotch. His ego and traditional views are frequently challenged by the arrival of ambitious female reporter Veronica Corningstone.
